Academy Rules & Code of Conduct

Creating a Positive Environment for Every Player

At Pro-Academy of Football, we are committed to providing a safe, professional, and enjoyable environment where every player can develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game.

To maintain the highest standards, all players and parents are expected to follow the Academy Rules and Code of Conduct outlined below.

These rules apply to all Pro-Academy of Football members.

1. Respect & Conduct
All Academy members are expected to present themselves in a respectful and professional manner at all times.

2. Monthly Membership Fees
Membership fees are due on the first Friday of every month.
Please note:

  • Monthly fees remain the same regardless of attendance.
  • No deductions will be made for holidays or short-term injuries.
  • Exceptions may be made for long-term injuries or with prior agreement from the Head Coach.

3. Absence From Training
If you are unable to attend a training session for any reason, please contact Mark Hunter by phone or text message.

4. Suitable Footwear
Metal blades and metal studs must not be worn on 3G artificial surfaces.

5. Shin Pads
Shin pads must be worn during all training sessions and matches.

6. Hydration
Players must bring a non-fizzy drink to every session to remain properly hydrated.

All players are expected to:

  • Be a good sport and applaud good play from both teammates and opponents.
  • Play within the rules of the game.
  • Play for enjoyment and personal development.
  • Inform a coach immediately if they have an injury.
  • Control their behaviour and conduct at all times.
  • Treat teammates, opponents, coaches, and officials with respect.
  • Never bully, intimidate, or take unfair advantage of another player.
  • Encourage and support fellow players.
  • Listen to and cooperate with coaches.
  • Work hard in training and matches.
  • Concentrate, learn, and express themselves positively on the pitch.
  • Respect match officials and accept decisions without argument.

Pro-Academy does not tolerate:

  • Bullying
  • Abusive language
  • Violent behaviour
  • Discrimination of any kind
  • Unsporting conduct

Parents and guardians play a vital role in every player’s development. We ask all parents to:

  • Remember that children play football for their own enjoyment.
  • Encourage participation without placing unnecessary pressure on children.
  • Focus on development and enjoyment rather than results.
  • Encourage players to respect the rules of the game.
  • Set a positive example through their behaviour.
  • Support and encourage all players, not just their own child.
  • Respect coaches and the time they dedicate to player development.
  • Avoid public criticism of players, coaches, officials, or other parents.
  • Support efforts to eliminate abuse and poor behaviour from sport.
  • Respect the decisions made by referees and match officials.
  • Show appreciation to volunteers, coaches, and administrators who make football possible.

Our philosophy is built on respect, effort, enjoyment, and development. By working together, players, parents, and coaches can create an environment where every young footballer has the opportunity to thrive.

Failure to comply with the Academy Rules and Codes of Conduct may result in a player being removed from the Academy.
